Cognitive Radio System

With the dramatic advance in wireless communication technology, the contradiction between traditional static spectrum allocation mechanism and growth in dependence on radio spectrum resource has become more and more unavoidable. A major bottleneck in wireless communication is now emerging with the spectrum utilization. As a revolutionary smart spectrum sharing technology, Cognitive Radio (CR) addresses the problem of poor spectrum utilization which has drawn increasingly concern within these years. Provided spectrum sensing function, the CR users have the ability of dynamic access and sharing unoccupied licensed spectrum bands. Spectrum sensing which characterizes awareness spirit of CR has been identified as a key enabling functionality for Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN). Therefore, the principal research work of this dissertation is specific to spectrum sensing algorithms in Physical Layer of CRN, the subject selection of which is motivated from National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Major Project).Under the foundation of Cognitive Radio outline and evolution of relevant standards, the main contributions to the theory and its applications of Physical Layer spectrum sensing algorithms in the dissertation include:Based on deep analysis of CR spectrum sensing principles, focused on research of spectrum sensing algorithms, having learnt the classical statistic signal detection theory, cyclostationary spectrum sensing algorithms with high reliability in detecting weak signals are emphasized. Through MATLAB simulation results and performance comparison of two cyclostationary detectors, the general requirement for spectrum sensing is briefly induced, that the detector can be more effective accounting for the characteristics of target signals.Aiming at spectrum sensing application in primary users with OFDM modulation, a practical sensing technique is provided in Digital TV spectrum band. According to the OFDM signal property, a more robust algorithm improved upon traditional OFDM detector based on Cyclic Prefix (CP) is proposed in this paper. The detector instances are implemented in detecting CMMB and DMB-T digital TV signals in MATLAB platform with expected results. Moreover, the detector with fusion cooperative decision of logic OR-rule after local sensing is also tested and verified to be able to cancel some deleterious impact of fading in Rayleigh channels.

With light above, we can walk steady and brave. With care and love, a kid can develop a happy childhood. But for rear children, their childhood is like walk with little light as their parents have to leave them behind for the city to work. When a normal happy childhood sounds like but a fairy tale for them, can we expect great harmony in our society, our big family and our next generations?As many of you may have seen on CCTV during last spring festival, the story of an emotional journey of a migrant family really touched me to the bottom of my heart. On the stage, a migrant couple were presented to the audience by the famous host-Cui Yongyuan together with the chairwoman of National Women’s Association. The Couple couldn’t have gone back home for the New Year to be with their son because of their duties at a restaurant in Beijing. When the host read an article by their son that he missed his mother dearly, the mother bursted into tears.
As the host finished his reading, the son appeared on the stage dramatically. But more dramatic was what their son said: he understood his parents had to leave him behind for city to give him a better future, however, when he grew up, he would rather stay with his own children in the country side than go to a city to work without his children.
These words expose us a common problem of rear children. Acutely these young hearts lack parental tender loving care. Here is the frightening statistics: more than 20million rural children in our countryside are living without their parents by their side. Worse still, these children tend to develop personal disorders, with 3 types commonly seen. First the silent and premature type, shaped by tough experience or hardship from an early age. Second, the dominating and violent type brought up and spoiled by grandparents with little self-discipline. Third, the wild type, neglected with no due care from any relatives.
Fortunately our government has taken initiatives to address this problem as so many migrant workers have made such a big sacrifice for our four modernizations. the chairwoman of National Women’s Association remarked: schools have been set up for migrant workers near their community in the city so that children can come to live with their parents in the city. Volunteers have been recruited to help rear children with their daily life and psychological problems.

At the same time, with the start of the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed rail, China's railway passenger transport entry a new era. High-speed moving leads to many troubles, like high handoff frequency, Doppler frequency shift, fast wireless channel change. Arbitrated loop applications include storage subsystems, processor clustering, work group networking, and many other environments requiring modest connectivity combined with high transmission speeds.This thesis mainly proposes the configuration of Fiber channel, topologies and Principle of Fibre channel arbitrated loop. Aiming at the fairness Algorithm of arbitrated loop, I propose two modified schemes to improve the efficiency and latency.Sending time allocation of arbitrated loop of fibre channel is made to serve the purpose of real time transmission through the Internet. For real time communication and the application of arbitrated loop of fibre channel in the environment of real time communication, we have proposed sending time allocation scheme based on the periodical task model in real time system.
